Tournament

*The tournament organizer has the discretion to move players in the correct section based on their skill level of play.*
*Note, a player must have a CFC ID in order to participate in the tournament. Sign up here for free
(*Based on CMA Ratings*) Sections:
---> Open (Rating over 900)
---> Intermediate (Rating 750+ to 899)
---> Novice (Rating 560 to 750)
---> Beginner (Rating Below 560 or no previous tournament experience)
*No onsite registration. Participants must be fully registered before the tournament. *
*Open to all chess players from Grades 1 to 12 (non-CMC students are able to join)*
Chess Federation of Canada (CFC) & Chess'n Math (CMA) Active Rated
All participants must have a CFC (Chess Federation of Canada) ID. To find your child's CFC ID number, visit: https://www.chess.ca/en/ratings/ and enter their name. If they do not have a CFC ID, you'll need to create a free account on the CFC website. This will generate a 6-digit CFC number for them. Click here to create one. *Note, when signing up, please input the child's first & last name, their date of birth, and gender in the appropriate fields. The remaining fields should be filled out with parent information.

Times: Beginner Section: 10:00am - 1:45pm.
Novice, Intermediate, & Open: 2:15pm - 6:30pm.
Location: 3359, 27 Street NE Suite #274, second floor, Calgary.
Prizes: --> Trophies for top 3 (all 4 sections)
--> Prize for top girl (all 4 sections)
Rounds: 6 total rounds
Time Control: 15 minutes with 5 sec. delay
Normal Price: $30 CAD (+ GST)
CMC Student: $24 CAD (+ GST)
