This winter semester, give your child the opportunity to build confidence, sharpen focus, and learn the essentials of chess, all in a fun and supportive in-person environment. Our 10-week program is designed for kids aged 6–17, with multiple class levels to match every skill level. Location: The Calgary Chess Club NE Price: $250 CAD (+ GST) Beginner Course: Recommended for chess players who have been introduced to chess and know how the chess pieces move but they have very little to no knowledge of the Chess rules & strategies.
Knight
Every Monday,
7.20pm - 8.20pm
(Jan 5 - Mar 16)
Location: The Calgary Chess Club NE Price: $250 CAD (+ GST) Knight Course: Recommended for chess players with a complete grasp of how the chess pieces move along with their special moves. They also have good knowledge of the basic endgame checkmates and opening fundamentals. They have basic knowledge about chess tactics (pins, forks, skewers, etc.) and basic middlegame strategies.
