The King Class is the highest level in our CMC (Chess Minds Calgary) Core Curriculum series. It's the final stage of our structured chess journey, starting from Beginner and progressing all the way to King. A stronger emphasis is placed on the quality of play, with longer time controls used during training and in-class tournament games. This allows the coach to carefully assess each student's overall performance before passing the level. Those who complete the King Class are expected to demonstrate solid, well-rounded play with a strong understanding and consistent application of the key concepts and fundamentals learned throughout the previous class levels.

King

Location: The Calgary Chess Club NE Price: $350 CAD (+ GST) King Course: The highest level offered in our CMC Core Curriculum series. This class level is only available for players who have successfully passed the Queen class level.
Note: Since this is the highest class level, class sizes will be much smaller compared to other levels. Students in this stage have demonstrated strong understanding and performance during both the learning and gameplay portions of class. Because of this, it is less common for students to qualify for the King Class, and only a select group are able to enroll.
Requirement: A minimum of six students must be enrolled for this class to begin. If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, all registered participants will receive a full refund.
